Xiaomin Mina Zhang is a Chinese artist and poet based between Australia and China. She is among the few contemporary female painters working within the visual language of traditional Literati painting. Zhang studied at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou and spent more than a decade working as a tapestry designer, a practice that continues to inform the textural sensitivity of her artwork.

Beginning with the landscape tradition shaped by Binhong Huang, Zhang evolved from the delicate and conventionally aesthetics often associated with classical Chinese painting. Her artistic and literary development deepened under the guidance of the poet and painter Outing Wu, from whom she learned both cí (詞) poetry and landscape painting.Today, her work interweaves these traditions into a new personal visual philosophy that bridges cultures and languages.
